Our Vision
God-centered, local church-driven missions mobilization.
Our Mission
Missions Mandate exists to equip local churches for God-centered missions mobilization.
Our Core Values
•Provide instructive missions material pertinent to the local church’s task of missions mobilization
•Establish a historical and biblical perspective of missions
•Stir individuals to abandonment to God’s mission
•Inform the reader of current world issues and their relation to missions efforts
•Clarify missions terminology, the ideology behind the terms, and the impact the terminology has upon the local church’s task of missions
•Adhere to a God-centered philosophy in all things
Our Doctrine
A proper missions philosophy begins with a sure theological and doctrinal foundation. It is our desire to be God-centered and Word-focused. Our doctrine statement provides the grid for all that we do.
Our Book
For the Sake of His Name is a publication of Student Global Impact. For more information about the book and to purchase it visit our Missions Mandate Store.
Our History
The missions mobilization ministry of Inter-City Baptist Church began with our pastor, David Doran, acting on his burden to help other believers move forward in their understanding of and commitment to the spread of the gospel. In fall 2000, Inter-City launched Student Global Impact and hired a director for the ministry. SGI has hosted the Institute of Missions Mobilization, summer internships, and the biannual SGI National Conference. SGI has also published a mission’s manual, For the Sake of His Name, and the Global Student newsletter.
As we have engaged in missions mobilization with young adults, local church leaders have requested that we help them as they seek to involve their congregations in the task of the Great Commission. Our response to these requests is Missions Mandate. We provide resources that aid local churches as they stand at the helm of the great task of taking the gospel to the nations.
