December 15, 2009 – 1:38 pmDan Phillips raises a good question over at the Pyro blog on why we don’t hear missionaries talk more about proclaiming the gospel.
From a local church standpoint, I know our missionaries do this a lot, but sometimes it isn’t as exciting a thing for church folk to hear them tell about. My takeaway–help do what I can to cultivate in our people the desire to “hear tell” of gospel proclaiming more than snakes, stories, social work, and safaris.
I have been doing a series of articles in Frontline on the issue of “Common Ground: The Quicksand of Missions and Evangelism” which pokes into the same vein that Dan is drawing from. After these are all published, I will throw them up here too and welcome your interaction.
