M Trivia 1.12: Answer
December 15, 2009 – 5:59 pmOver the next few weeks the M Trivia will include questions about the SGI Conference speakers
M Trivia for MM Express 1.12: Tim Heijermans, missionary to Luxembourg, is a workshop speaker for the ‘10 SGI Conference. The small, landlocked country (about half the size of Delaware!) of Luxembourg is unique in that it has 3 national languages. What are these three languages?
Correct answer: German, French Luxembourgish. No, I didn’t make it up. Luxembourgish is a legitimate language in Luxembourg, recognized as such in 1984. In fact it is their preferred conversational language and the “heart language” of the Luxembourgers.
