The Only Difference

When you are tempted to look at a “really bad sinner” with disgust and tell God, “I thank you that I am not like other men,” consider this loaded sentence from Octavius Winslow in his book Jesus, Full of Grace (12 paragraphs from the end):

“Christian! the only thing that makes you differ from the vilest being that pollutes the earth, or from the darkest fiend that gnaws his chains in hell, is the free grace of God!”
