Turning Point Conference in Europe

November 7, 2009 – 1:48 am

‘What roadblocks might keep you and your church from multiplying in the next 25 years? Secular mindset; inter-faith dialog; or discouragement?

Perhaps the intimidation of Islam or the  “eat, drink, and be merry” philosophy. Maybe it is an entitlement mentality or inadequate training.

Doubts about the reality of hell; postmodern pragmatism; or dead, irrelevant Christianity may hinder others. All of these are daunting, but penetrable realities!’

College students and young adults of Europe are invited to a conference on evangelism and church-planting that will address this crucial question. This  Christmas break Christian Community Church (CCC) in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg will host its first Turning Point Conference 31 December 2009 - 2 January 2010 for college students and young professionals.

CCC is a biblically governed, international church ministering to a broad spectrum of Luxembourg’s diverse population. Pastor Tim Heijermans and the leadership at CCC have a burden for the rising generation of conservative Christian leaders in Europe. The Turning Point Conference is one way that they intend to influence young leaders for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Student Global Impact has played an advisory role in the Turning Point Conference by sharing planning materials and advice with Pastor Heijermans and the leadership team at CCC. We are thrilled to see a conference modeled after the SGI National Conference take form in Europe.

I encourage churches in Europe, missionaries in Europe, MKs from Europe, churches in America that have contacts in Europe, and anyone else that has connections with Christians in Europe to promote this conference as a strategic opportunity to influence the future leaders of conservative European Christianity.

Those who attend our ‘10 SGI National Conference will get a chance to meet Tim Heijermans and attend his workshops as he is one of our guest speakers.
