Faithful Minister Home with the Lord
August 17, 2009 – 1:38 pmDavid L. Cummins, former Deputation Director for Baptist World Missions,
died at his home in Dunbarton Estates in Decatur, Alabama, Thursday night, August 13, from complications due to cancer. Surrounded by his wife and family members, he slipped peacefully into the presence of his Lord Whom he so faithfully served for nearly 60 years.
What stands out in the summary of Cummins’ life is the godly heritage that follows him:
It is clear that the Cummins passed their vision on to their children, for they raised five daughters who all married Baptist pastors. The heritage continues in the new generation. Of their 19 grandchildren, 16 have completed ministry training.
