New Archive Lists for MM Blog

March 24, 2009 – 4:43 pm

Missions Mandate is just over 7 months old (I know this because it was born just a week after my wedding date.) One of the inevitable realities of blogs, and this one is no exception, is that information tends to get buried at the bottom and is no longer utilized.

Because blogs operate in reverse chronological order, few people access the early posts. (For instance, how many readers have gone back and read our September 18 post Missions: Man-Centered or God-Centered? Probably not that many because it’s buried beneath all the others.)

The nature of Missions Mandate blog is such that we are more concerned about being a resource center for missions mobilization than a site that frequently inundates readers with status updates and information that becomes irrelevant at the end of the day. In essence, we intend for our blog to inform the reader of resources and ideas through daily posts while also providing a searchable format for previous posts.

In an effort to handle the latter intention more effectively, we have created four Archive Lists on the sidebar that organize all posts by the following designations: alphabetical, author, category and tag. We hope that this will allow readers to more easily access posts for future reference. You can also search any keyword using the search function at the top of the sidebar.
