Camp Joy: Retreat for Missionaries

November 17, 2008 – 3:34 pm

Scott Hatchett, Director of Camp Joy in southern Wisconsin, extends an invitation for missionaries to stay at Camp Joy for a reduced rate and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and Christian fellowship. Below is the letter addressed to Missions Boards on the subject:

Dear Mission Board,

We would like to introduce you a special opportunity for your missionaries traveling in the Mid-West that would also offer us the opportunity to minister and encourage them and to keep our ministry active before God’s people.  Camp Joy, an independent fundamental Baptist Youth Camp and Conference Center located in Whitewater, Wisconsin, has a special offer for you to take advantage of.

We have sixteen hotel-like accommodations that are often available during the weekdays.  We would love to make them available to missionaries traveling in the area.  We can make these rooms available for $45/night, with no taxes etc, and our rooms will be much more comfortable than any they will find anywhere.  Your missionary family could stay for several days, enjoy godly Christian fellowship, relax in a beautiful, wholesome environment and see one of God’s ministries at work on a first-hand basis.

We are located an hour south of Madison and Milwaukee and about an hour and forty-five minutes from Chicago.  This location would be a great place to rest during the week between churches in the Wisconsin-Illinois area.

Please check us out on our website at www.campjoy.org or give us a call at (262) 473-3132.  We would love to answer any questions you may have.  You may see pictures of the facility on the website or if you would like to check with another mission board to find out more about us, please feel free to contact Baptist World Mission, a board that comes here annually for their yearly missionary orientation.

In Christ,
Scott Hatchett
